Violin Shop Services
Violin Sound Enhancement (Fry Technique)
$75 - $185
(Tongue, tweeter, High Freq. Filter adjustments). Sometimes controversial... Dr. Fry has given many lectures over his 30 years of violin research. I have used this technique on my violins with noticeable improvements.
Re-graduation: $275 - $585
(requires careful removal of the belly-violin top)
Thinning the plates to the proper thickness often adds projection and volume to an instrument.
So many of the less expensive, student violins benefit from this procedure. If you own a student violin and want to bring it up to the next level... this service might be just for you!
Attention! Re-graduation will not transform a $150 E-bay student violin into a $1,500,000 Strad, but my customers are amazed with what it does do!
Peg Adjustment/Replacement: $25 - $39/ $45 -$65
Sound post work: $18 - $45
Bass Bar adjustment: $35- $55
Seam Repairs: $25 - $85
Crack Repairs: $25- $85
...And much more !

"Why are your services so reasonable?"
This is the question I am most commonly asked. First of all, I appreciate working with violins. They are magnificent instruments just by their nature and design. My love of the violin causes me to take extra care with them; when you send your violin to me, I treat it as if it were one of my own. Having said this, let me explain my shop policy: When you send your violin to me, you assume full responsibility for any damage that may occur to your instrument from the time it leaves your door to the time it returns to you. I strongly recommend that you insure your violin when you ship it to me. I always insure it for the return journey home. In order to keep my repair fees reasonable (and relatively lower than other shops) I do not carry insurance for the treatment of your violin, so you must bear the full responsibility. I can say that not one violin has ever been damaged while in my care. I am very careful and conservative in my violin repair work. I work on one or two violins at a time, so there is never a need for me to rush; which can lead to accidents. The risk of your violin being damaged while in my hands is extremely low. My carefulness saves my shop the need for insurance... and I pass the savings on to you...my valued clients.
Let's give your violin a new voice!
