The QuadraPod Bridge
The QuadraPod Bridge for violin and viola is a unique design who's time has come. With four direct vibratory columns, the QuadraPod conducts all four string vibrations directly to the belly of the instrument. No more does the A and D strings of the violin need to share the feet of the E and G strings. Each string has it's own foot. It makes perfect sense. The theory is confirmed when you hear the enhanced depth and quality of sound.
Every QuadraPod is hand made for your violin by Guitano. He starts with a raw piece of oak. The bridge is hand cut from the stock wood then hand carved to it's final shape. The only power tool used is a micro router to remove wood from the three oval openings. The cross members are left to add further support to the bridge and to blend the harmonics between strings. The level of each cross member contributes to the instruments unique voice. The QuadraPod is usually thinner than a standard Maple wood bridge. It can be carved thinner because it is made of Oak Wood. The density of Oak and it's grain pattern allows this bridge to be a superior sound conductor. Once you hear this bridge in action, you will wonder why Oak is not traditionally preferred over Maple.
Your QuadraPod Bridge must be custom fit to your violin here at our shop and returned to you. Simply send you violin (or viola) with a check to cover both the bridge and fitting to:
